I feel like I’ve always appreciated the girly aspects in life, especially the pleasure of dressing up. Aside from loving frills, pearls and dresses, I also personally loved Japanese street fashion, and loved the boldness of each individual’s unique style. I also admired their confidence in taking to the street in that garb. Why couldn’t I be excessive? Why couldn’t fashion be more fun?
In this time, I especially admired the “Sweet Lolita” style, especially for being especially effeminate. It was sugary sweet, sparkling- everything I wanted in life, but a little too formal for everyday wear. So I gave birth (e-birth, lulz) to Velvet Sparkle, a site for the lovers of being a girl, a fun, unique, bold, fashion-loving girl! I also strove to offer goods at a reasonable price. As an avid lover for bargains, outlets, and Forever21, I never believed that it took a lot of money to look freakin’ fabulous, and so here’s the result: a site that delivers the latest and greatest in Asia’s sweet side of fashion!
